Mission

Circumstance and Carefulness exists to…

Open up space that both celebrates desire and acknowledges that desire and sexuality can be hard.

Analyze public discourses about kink, sex, and desire, within and outside of self-proclaimed kink-positive and sex-positive spaces.

Notice and name how oppressions–including sex-negativity, fatphobia, misogyny, ableism, transphobia, transmisogyny, racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, and homophobia–both impact and play out in our communities and our sexualities.

Build community based in connection, intimacy, and meeting each other where we are.

Tell and hear stories that matter.
